Bellevue Chamber Prepares Eastside Businesses for FIFA World Cup Traffic
April 10, 2026
The Bellevue Chamber of Commerce announced it is developing resources to help Eastside businesses prepare for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will bring six matches to Seattle this summer. An estimated 750,000 visitors are expected across the metropolitan area during the event.
The chamber noted that the recently opened 2 Line light rail, which provides a direct connection between Bellevue and Seattle, could drive match-day foot traffic to Eastside businesses in the hospitality, restaurant, and retail sectors.
The chamber said additional details on its business preparation resources would be forthcoming, and indicated that the timeline for planning is limited ahead of the tournament.
